Association Between VDR and CYP24A1 Polymorphisms, Atopic Dermatitis, and Biochemical Lipid and Vitamin D Profiles in Spanish Population: Case-Control Study

چکیده

Background Atopic dermatitis (AD) is the most prevalent inflammatory skin disorder, characterized by impaired epidermal barrier function and an altered immune response, both of which are influenced vitamin D deficiency. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in VDR CYP24A1 have been previously associated with AD. Objective We sought to characterize associations between lipid biochemical profile children diagnosed Methods A total 246 participants (143 patients AD 103 healthy controls) were enrolled this study. Genotyping for (rs2239185, rs1544410, rs7975232, rs2238136, rs3782905, rs2239179, rs1540339, rs2107301, rs2239182, rs731236) (rs2248359 rs2296241) was performed allele-specific polymerase chain reaction using integrated fluidic circuit technology. Serum levels calcium, phosphorus, measured, determined. Results Among SNPs, rs2239182 exerted a protective effect against development AD, whereas rs2238136 identified as risk factor The GCC haplotype (rs2239185-G, rs1540339-C, rs2238136-C) appeared protect rs2239182-CC higher 25(OH)D concentrations, rs2238136-TT, rs2239185-GA, rs2248359-TT present large proportion serum rs2239185-AA, rs2239182-CC, rs1540339-CC cholesterol; rs2239182-TT lower low-density lipoprotein rs2239182-TC high-density cholesterol. Both SNPs (rs2296241-AA rs2248359-TT) cholesterol levels. Conclusions SNP other CYP24A1, may lead alterations parameters that influence Our findings highlight complex genetic basis indicate interrelationships different factors can metabolism or profiles, turn

No Association Between Vitamin D Intake, VDR Polymorphisms, and Colorectal Cancer in a Population-Based Case-Control Study.

BACKGROUND Epidemiologic evidence indicates that greater intakes of vitamin D may decrease the risk of colorectal cancer. Variants in the vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene have the potential to modify associations between vitamin D intake and colorectal cancer. METHODS Associations between intakes of vitamin D and colorectal cancer were studied in a large case-control study conducted in central a...

the relation between bilingualism and translation: a case study of turkish bilingual and persian monolingual translation students

translation studies have become an accepted academic subject and books, journals and doctoral dissertations appear faster than one can read them all (bassnet and lefevere, 1990). but this field also brought with itself so many other issues which needed to be investigated more, in the heart of which, issues like ideology, ethics, culture, bilingualism and multilingualism. it is reported that ove...

Serum and whole blood Selenium in children with Atopic Dermatitis: A case-control study

Background and aim: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, inflammatory, pruritic skin disease usually observed in patients with other allergies. Decreased selenium levels and improvement with selenium supplement are reported in AD. The aim of this study was to compare serum and whole blood selenium in children with AD and control group.Materials and Methods: In an age-se...

Comprehensive association analysis of the vitamin D pathway genes, VDR, CYP27B1, and CYP24A1, in prostate cancer.

Genetic variation in vitamin D-related genes has not been investigated comprehensively and findings are equivocal. We studied the association between polymorphisms across the entire vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene and genes encoding for vitamin D activating enzyme 1-alpha-hydroxylase (CYP27B1) and deactivating enzyme 24-hyroxylase (CYP24A1) and prostate cancer risk among middle-aged men using a p...
